Downland north of Milk Hill
Downland north of Milk Hill
View north across seemingly endless chalk downland. The whole area is managed by Natural England in partnership with local farmers and is an important habitat for grasses, flowers, butterflies and other insects. Flowering plants include burnt-tip orchid in May, round-headed rampion in July, scabious in August and lady's-tresses orchid in September.
