South door, St Nicholas' Church, Biddestone
South door, St Nicholas' Church, Biddestone
The church has its origins in the 12th century but, as is commonly the case with old churches, has been altered and extended during its life, most recently in the mid 19th century. This doorway is the most obvious Norman feature and is the main entrance into the church. See ST8673 : Norman cross, St Nicholas' Church, Biddestone for a closer view of the cross above the door.
