taken 17 years ago, near to Starbotton, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Starbotton from the north
Starbotton from the north
A view of Starbotton from the path to the old lead mine that rises steeply to the north of the village. The flat bottom of the glacial valley can be clearly seen. Afternoon in late autumn and the west side of the dale is already in shadow.
