taken 7 years ago, near to Llangoed, Isle of Anglesey/Sir Ynys Mon, Great Britain

Conglomerate
Conglomerate
These layers of conglomerate, alternately coarser and finer, have been deformed by slumping to form these curious whorls. They are the sort of deposit found on the sandur in Iceland - the outwash channels from glaciers, intermittently subject to vast flooding events.
