SU6880 : East Wall of the Fort

taken 8 years ago, near to Gallowstree Common, Oxfordshire, Great Britain

East Wall of the Fort
East Wall of the Fort
Not exactly dramatic, but there is still a couple of metres difference from the ditch to the bank of this ancient wooded earthwork.
This is pretty much typical of what the whole thing looks like around its length.
The northern section is if anything more overgrown.
I am guessing it's Iron Age just because they did this sort of thing in those days, but there is no information or any sign of conservation or anything on site.
