TG3915 : Thurne Mouth, looking downstream on the Bure

Thurne Mouth, looking downstream on the Bure
Thurne Mouth, looking downstream on the Bure
Thurne Mouth is where the Thurne now meets the Bure - long ago the Thurne flowed out to sea via the Hundred Stream near Horsey and did not meet the Bure at all. This view looks downstream along the Bure; the Thurne comes in from the left and the two rivers flow out to Great Yarmouth to the right. The distant church is for Thurne village, on one of the most prominent "upland" areas in this part of the Broads.
