Kyle of Lochalsh Railway Station
Kyle of Lochalsh Railway Station
A 1980s view of the station looking inland. This was the end of the line for a railtour, which had originated in Norwich, Norfolk, the night before. Due to its length the train from Norwich terminated at Inverness and to continue to Kyle of Lochalsh the passengers were split into two parties, one travelling to Kyle of Lochalsh by a shorter train and the other party travelling by coach, with the parties then swapping means of transportation for the return to Inverness. Two of the coaches can be seen on the bridge in the background.
