Remains of village cross, Winterborne Stickland
Under an ancient lime tree near the church stands the base of the Medieval village cross, which was until recently hidden under the road surface. In 1977 it was excavated and mounted on a block of Purbeck stone to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee.

The cross was probably erected in the early 15th century by the holders of the Manor of Stickland, which was at that time the Abbey at Milton.
