SD7872 : Typical limestone grouse moor

Typical limestone grouse moor
Typical limestone grouse moor
Historically this moor was a high maintenance moor with stone built shooting butts and keepers that would ensure nothing other than grouse survived up here. What a contrast today with the air filled with the song of larks and the continual cackle of the crows as they bicker amongst each other and then team up to "mob" a passing buzzard. Not a soul in sight, what a privilege to be here.
