Former St Mary's Cemetery, Battersea
Former St Mary's Cemetery, Battersea
Large-scale paper and online mapping names this as St Mary's Cemetery, and it appears that the name refers to its original function as the parish burial ground when St Mary's by the river TQ2676 : St Mary, Battersea Church Road, London SW11 was the only [Anglican] parish church in the area. Presumably burials were on the slightly higher ground here to keep them away from Thames floods.

It was closed for new burials in 1853, and is now maintained by Wandsworth Council just as "Battersea Cemetery".
