Felixstowe Container Terminal
Felixstowe Container Terminal
A single track line, signalled for bidirectional working, leaves the National Rail Felixstowe branch at Trimley station and heads south for 72 chains (1 chain is 1/80th of a mile), where it branches out into sidings. On official railway maps this is given as Felixstowe North Quay Terminal. This is the view from the gateway at the bridleway level crossing. The stacks of containers at centre right appear to be refrigerated judging by the equipment installed on the container ends.
