NK0732 : Waymarked Path

Waymarked Path
Waymarked Path
This was intriguing. It was the first indication I had seen of the existence of a path, although I had already completed three-quarters of the route. The first three-quarters had no signs, no stiles, no bridges over the burns, and the path was very indistinct and rather overgrown in places. Yet here, suddenly, was a waymarked path of sorts! By that stage of the day I was very glad of it, in particular of plank bridges over the nettle-infested burns between here and Whinnyfold. Banff and Buchan district ceased to exist as a local authority area in 1995, and was swallowed up by Aberdeenshire, which apparently isn't interested in this path.
