Old pit near Cogger's Shaw
Old pit near Cogger's Shaw
A rare case of a pit not obscured by trees, its size and the dead tree help, of course. Not a great deal of water left after a hot dry spell. This pit is one of a chain in this area, probably following an ironstone seam in the Wadhurst Clay.
