Stationary Edinburgh tram, Princes Street
Stationary Edinburgh tram, Princes Street
Display tram to give Edinburgh citizens a glimpse of the future of transport in their city. I was bemused to note that some of the reasons used to justify re-introducing trams are the opposite of the very arguments given for scrapping them, to general public dismay, in the 1950s. For example, they apparently no longer hinder other forms of traffic, but now reduce congestion.
