Dip in the road, Dartmouth Road near to Clennon Valley

Normally this stretch of road is very busy as tourists stream to and fro from Torquay and Paignton to Brixham and beyond (including to Dartmouth by ferry). At 7.30 a.m. on a Sunday morning,however, there is little traffic. A bird of prey sits on a lamp post looking for food, or just keeping watch. This stretch of road can be inundated when there is very heavy rain and it even disappears altogether under the stream which runs out to sea and the high tide. Normally the stream runs underneath the road.
