Big grin on Horsehold Road
Big grin on Horsehold Road
This road climbs steeply for 1.2 miles with a height gain of 185 metres from the River Calder near Hebden Bridge to the edge of the moor at Erringden. It is one of 128 road climbs in the Pennines with a gradient of 1:4 or steeper. Here the cyclist has just conquered the steepest part of the climb - but there's no freewheeling yet awhile.
