Kilravock Castle
Kilravock Castle
This castle was originally a 15th century plain stone keep and courtyard
fortress, founded by the Rose family. Of five storeys and a garret, it was altered in 1553 when integrated with a five story mansion house. In the 18th century the castle was again remodelled when a west wing was added. Mary Queen of Scots slept here, as did Bonnie Prince Charlie.
