NG2941 : New pond

taken 8 years ago, near to Harlosh, Highland, Great Britain

New pond
New pond
The photographer is standing in a building plot next door to the former Harlosh Hotel. A spring rises in the plot, and flows as a small burn into Loch Caroy, a little to the east. There was already a small pond in the plot over the road from this location, see NG2941 : Pond by the shore, but now the owner of this plot who understands otters are known to use the burn up from the Loch in search of fresh water in which to wash, has cleared the burn to create a larger pond on this side of the road. The frogs will love it too!
