SU2775 : Field of barley, near Preston

taken 8 years ago, near to Aldbourne, Wiltshire, Great Britain

Field of barley, near Preston
Field of barley, near Preston
The crop isn't ripe yet. The yellowish tinge comes from the strands that grow above the ears of the crop (I've forgotten what they are called). Only the foreground is in this square. The drop down into the shallow valley and what can be seen beyond is in the next square east. The more steeply rising land on the other side of the valley is access land. The woodland above that is Long Copse.
