From the castle you can see the structure used to stabilise a boulder clay cliff, along with rip rap used to protect the base and the jetty. Beyond the jetty can just be seen the slipway that allows the inshore lifeboat to be launched. Developments in the gardens suggest increased confidence of homeowners
