The junction of Maytham Road (left) with High Street. The church of St Mary the Virgin dates from the 14th century and has a tower surmounted by an unusually small spire. A grade I listed building.

To the right is an 18th century weather-boarded house, typical of Kent, with a large bow-front window, once a shop window. A grade II* listed building.
