St Andrew's church > LinkExternal link dates from the 13th century and is the only Norwich church with a thatched roof. While its north side looks very much conventional, a modern extension > LinkExternal link consisting of three pointed prows with angled glass curtains has been added onto the south side, making the churchyard on this side considerably smaller and the church very difficult to photograph. The old part of the church was extensively restored in the 19th century. It houses the original baptismal font > LinkExternal link and a 14th century wall painting > LinkExternal link can be seen above the arch of the south doorway which leads into the new extension. The stained glass dates from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
