Elms Lesters
Elms Lesters
Located next to St. Giles churchyard on Flitcroft Street, this building was constructed in 1904 as a purpose built scenic painting studio for the nearby theatre industry - hence the large door. Note also the fully glazed roof. It is currently a studio for several resident artists although scenic painting is still undertaken. A full history can be found on the Elms Lesters web site - LinkExternal link - along with images of the work of the resident artists.
