TQ3182 : St Mark's church, Islington

taken 8 years ago, near to Finsbury, Islington, Great Britain

St Mark's church, Islington
St Mark's church, Islington
An early 19th century Gothic revival church, predating Pugin's work popularising the Gothic style and thus in the much more inexpert vein of 18th century Gothick. Typical Islington Regency terraces around it. TQ3182 : View from the 9th floor on the Euston Road shows the church clearly from a mile away, the curve of the land down to the west of this site meaning that the view of the west front up this road is unobstructed.
