This was a former parish Clerk building, also the home to a warden of the six attached almshouses. See also TR1459 : Ye Olde Beverlie Inne, St. Stephens Green. Built in 1573 for 500 by Sir Roger Manwood, Judge and M.P. He supplied a water conduit, pensions, clothing allowance and bread and fuel, he also hosted a Sunday dinner. The current residents receive modern facilities from the pubs rent.
