Ousden St Peter's Church
Ousden St Peter's Church
This church is a rarity. It was built by the Normans and has a central tower which is original apart from the parapet. The belfry stage has engaged columns carved into the corner stones. The south doorway into the nave (now a window) has a chip-carved lintel, above which is a chequered tympanum. I believe the arch utilises Roman brick.
