Acton All Saints Church
Acton All Saints Church
Known anciently as Aketon this parish is famous for its history, having been owned by Robert de Buers in the reign of Edward I, and later awarded to Henry, Lord Bouchier by Henry IV. The church and tower (which is heavily buttressed against collapse) is beautifully proportioned. The square embattled tower was rebuilt in 1923.
