The Winnats Pass
The Winnats Pass
Outstanding limestone gorge which translates as 'the pass through which the wind sweeps'. Allegedly this pass is haunted by visions and screams of an eloping young couple, murdered in 1748, by five miners who themselves then met terrible individual fates.
