Lime kiln at Cotehele Quay
Lime kiln at Cotehele Quay
There is a line of three of these arches serving as stoke holes and for the extraction of the burnt lime from two lime kilns. Maidenhair fern seems to favour this one. Cotehele Quay stands on the Tamar below Cotehele House. The river was used to transport ores from nearby mines.
