Silver Studded Blue, West End Common
Silver Studded Blue, West End Common
A female Silver Studded Blue on heather showing her "studs". Distinguishable from the male by the brown ground colour of the underwings and mostly brown upperwings, they look very similar to the Brown Argus. 2010 has been a very good year for this species.
