Carnforth Station
Carnforth Station
Looking north from the branch platform 1, we see the line towards Barrow curving away to the left, beyond a junction which leads, right, over the main line an eventually to Skipton and Leeds. It would be quite possible to put in a north-facing junction from this line to the main line, so that the branch platforms could be used by trains coming from Carlisle via Oxenholme, to make a stop at Carnforth.
