TM2170 : Athelington St Peter's Church

taken 12 years ago, near to Athelington, Suffolk, Great Britain

Athelington St Peter's Church
Athelington St Peter's Church
The church was probably built in the reign of King Edward III as the corbel heads on the belfry doorway are representative of the period. The tower appears very slim but that is due to the lack of buttresses. The turret stairs to the belfry have a carved stone roof.
