NO6948 : Bramble (Rubus fruticosus)

taken 8 years ago, near to Ethie Mains, Angus, Great Britain

Bramble (Rubus fruticosus)
Bramble (Rubus fruticosus)
Easy to identify, with its arching stems threatening to scratch your legs, and eventually its succulent black berries. Until, that is, you read that there are something like 400 microspecies and it takes an expert to tell them apart. Never mind, they all taste good!
