Ferodo bridge, London Road
The Ferodo company was founded in 1897 by Herbert Frood in Chapel en le Frith, Derbyshire. and is well known for its braking products. It seems that in the 1960's they came to an agreement with British Railways to advertise on a number of railway bridges across the country, an agreement which continued until the company was taken over by Federal Mogul in 1998. Most of the bridges were in London, but there is also one other example in the Midlands - in Stoke on Trent.
