St Mary's Church spire, Cheltenham
The church as seen today dates from the late 12th century in places. The spire is a little more recent being 14th century. Extensive repairs to the church and spire were carried out in the 19th century. The church is listed Grade I LinkExternal link The top of the spire has twisted slightly, a characteristic also perceptible on aerial photos of it. The clock is accurate.
