Family tomb, St Mary's Church, Cheltenham
The inscription on the panel is a poignant reminder of the limited lifespans of people born in the 18th century. Edith and Thomas had eight children. One died aged 14 months, two more in their teens, one in her twenties and three in their thirties. Only one made it into the 19th century, Amy, who survived until she was 80.
