'The Twelfth' parade, Bangor
The banner of Stevenson's Memorial LOL 1029 (Cottown).
The Late Worshipful Bro John Gillespie features on the front of the lodge's banner in which he is dressed as King William III and on his white horse. Bro Gillespie led Bangor District's 12th of July parade from 1938 - 1965
The back of the banner features Queen Elizabeth II's Imperial Crown resting on the open Holy Bible under the watchful eye of God. This reflects the Orange Institutions loyalty and beliefs.
'The Twelfth' parade, Bangor 2010

Annual 12th July parade through the town of Bangor by members of the local Orange lodges and their attached bands. In 2010 the Bangor parade was fairly small as the main demonstration for the area took place in nearby Newtownards. After parading through the town in the morning, the lodges and bands proceeded to Newtownards (via buses and cars, not marching the entire route!) and paraded through Bangor again in the evening on their return.
