Convoys Wharf
Convoys Wharf
Only a small corner of this grid square is on the south bank of the Thames and was occupied by light industry until recently - the major user was a paper importer. This is probably the closest view possible from public land of the river frontage.

Convoys Wharf, like much of the industry along the Thames in London, is under threat of being lost to yet more housing development. As of December 2009 a planning application was being considered for "3500 new homes, 73000 sq.m of employment space plus major new cultural and creative facilities". the developer's website (Richard Rogers) at LinkExternal link has more details.
