St. Osyth's Well, Bierton
The ancient well in Bierton known as St. Osyth's Well is now well protected (if you'll excuse the pun). St. Osyth was a granddaughter of the famous Mercian King Penda. She was born about 650AD in nearby Quarrendon and married Sigehere, King of Essex in about 665AD.
