This is the view of the estuary of the River Burn as seen from Gun Hill. In the past 35 years, the outflow of the River has shifted around with the build-up of sand along the beach. Earlier exiting almost directly north, the river now heads some way east before hitting the salt. Traces of the old course are visible here, with the new course nearer the camera.
