NT4139 : End of the public road

taken 12 years ago, near to Blackhaugh, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

End of the public road
End of the public road
A locked gate here on the cattle grid. From here its non motorised visits only up the delightful glen of the Caddon Water. The patches on the far hill are modern muir burns. Rather than strips, the heather is burned in rounded shapes made by first mowing a firebreak.
