Spreyton: St Michael’s church
Spreyton: St Michael’s church
St Michael appears to be a post-reformation dedication; the medieval dedication was lost. ‘Uncle Tom Cobley’ of Widecombe Fair fame is buried here. He was a real character, a local yeoman, and died at a ripe old age at the end of the 18th century
