Sparkwell: Boringdon Camp
Sparkwell: Boringdon Camp
View towards Lee Moor and Wotter from within Boringdon Camp. This is a circular hillfort standing 140m above the Plym valley, enclosing roughly two hectares and built at some time between 350 and 150BC. Its inhabitants would have had 360 degree views from the 'camp', which in reality was a village, with the entrance to the south. Views are now obscured by forestry in the southern quadrant
