The pierhead. The sign on the left reads 'Turn Left, Traffic Lights Ahead, Caution Dead Slow. The sign on the right reads 'Humber Ferry, Turn Right', whilst on the adjacent pile there is a 'No Parking' sign. In the distance the Humber Bridge nears completion. It will open on 24th June 1981 and the ferry will cease operations the same day.
