NT3116 : Rankle Burn

taken 16 years ago, near to Cacrabank, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

Rankle Burn
Rankle Burn
Sizable tributary of the Ettrick. Like many of the headwaters of the Tweed system, the river is fenced off to encourage natural plant growth along the banks, reduce erosion and acidification and aid the salmon fishery. The Tweed is still one of the world's most productive salmon rivers.
