Steam Tug Cervia, Ramsgate Maritime Museum
Launched in 1946 as Empire Raymond and renamed Cervia on her sale to William Watkins Ltd the same year. In 1954 she sank in service with the loss of five lives but was salvaged and put back in service. In 1971 she was laid up and in 1972 was acquired for preservation. It would seem that being put back into service was the best form of preservation and she earned her keep from 1974 until 1983. She is now on loan to the Ramsgate Maritime Museum and in 2010 is being restored by Century Millwrights.
