SN6848 : Gate for track from open hill into conifer plantation

5 km from Cwrt-y-Cadno, Carmarthenshire/Sir Gaerfyrddin, Great Britain

Gate for track from open hill into conifer plantation
Gate for track from open hill into conifer plantation
A very lonely, remote spot. Following the track into the plantation it became obvious that it was rarely used, and had been successfully colonised by gorse and small conifers beyond the small quarry that is reached after about 600 metres. It was nevertheless possible to identify the point where the line of the track crossed the uppermost reach of Afon Cothi.
