SZ0187 : Furzey Island from "The Pottery"

taken 17 years ago, 3 km from Sandbanks, Poole, Great Britain

Furzey Island from "The Pottery".
Furzey Island from "The Pottery".
"The Pottery" is long gone but potshards are still very common on the stony Brownsea Island foreshore. Across the channel of White Ground Lake is the low-lying and wooded Furzey Island which has two oil wells - Poole Harbour sits on an oilfield and there are several "nodding donkey" oilwells around the harbour.
