Derelict
Derelict
Wreck of abandoned boat LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) in Aberlady Bay. There are a number of these derelicts about the bay all abandoned when it was no longer viable for their use. The only visible signs remaining for some of them are piles of stones used to weigh them down when they were sunk. It has been suggested that perhaps they were sunk in the bay on instructions of the then Earl of Wemyss, to add a pictueresque image to the landscape.
