Trewornan Bridge
Trewornan Bridge
Cattle are taking shelter from the heat underneath the arches of the bridge which takes the B road to Rock over the River Amble but as this old bridge is only a single lane width, traffic is controlled by lights. There is a ghost story associated with this bridge which says that once a year, on the night of the full moon a ghostly coach and horses races across the bridge. I wonder if they wait for the lights to go green?
